Leadsun produces a comprehensive range of fire clay bricks with 30-65% alumina content, all exhibiting excellent strength. For more demanding environments, we offer a hand-fired "super duty" fire clay brick with exceptional mechanical strength.
Refractory fire bricks are specialized products manufactured through a precise process involving chamotte or bauxite blended with binding clay. The manufacturing includes crushing, batching, mixing, high-pressure molding, drying, and high-temperature sintering in tunnel or shuttle kilns, resulting in superior structural integrity, mechanical strength, and thermal stability.
These bricks feature alumina (Al₂O₃) content ranging from 30% to 90%, directly influencing their refractoriness—the ability to withstand high temperatures without softening or deforming—typically between 1580°C and 1850°C. They are classified as medium to high-temperature materials with three grades based on alumina content: low-alumina (30%-48%), medium-alumina (48%-60%), and high-alumina (60%-90%).
Key properties include high refractoriness, excellent thermal shock resistance, strong resistance to chemical attack from slags and gases, and reliable dimensional stability at elevated temperatures. These characteristics make them ideal for lining various high-temperature industrial furnaces and kilns, providing essential thermal protection and extending equipment service life.
