Rock Wool Board is a high-performance, inorganic insulation material manufactured from natural volcanic rock, typically basalt or diabase, and recycled slag. The raw materials are melted at extreme temperatures (approximately 1,500°C) and then spun into fine fibers using a centrifugal process. These fibers are then bonded with a thermosetting resin and formed into rigid or semi-rigid boards.

- Excellent Thermal Insulation Low thermal conductivity (typically 0.035-0.045 W/m·K) helps reduce energy consumption in buildings and industrial applications.
- Superior Fire Resistance Rock wool is non-combustible (Class A1 or A2 according to European standards). It can withstand temperatures up to 1,000°C without melting, acting as an effective fire barrier.
- Acoustic Performance The fibrous structure provides excellent sound absorption, making it ideal for noise reduction in walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Water Repellent but Vapor Permeable Most rock wool boards are treated with a water-repellent agent, preventing moisture absorption while allowing water vapor to pass through, which helps avoid condensation and mold growth.
